About Replenish Richmond
Replenish Richmond is a re-branding of Rick Tatnall’s multifaceted efforts to strengthen the Community of Richmond. Spanning more than 2 decades and working under the names of Music For Miracles, Citizens Against Crime, and Together We Stand, Rick has followed a very intentional pathway in an effort to build a proud, unified Community of Richmond. Replenish Richmond will operate as a for-profit community development organization emphasizing the development of the people of the Community of Richmond, not the property.
Replenish means “to fill or make complete again, add a new supply to” and Replenish Richmond intends to offer a never-ending supply of energy and new ideas in support of the Community of Richmond. Through his work that touched all elements of the Richmond Regional Community, Rick has gained a unique understanding of the many wonderful opportunities awaiting the Community of Richmond; and the many stumbling blocks to realizing those opportunities. Replenish Richmond will use Rick’s experience to develop community initiatives that increase the quality of life for all Richmonders, concentrating on our schools, our neighborhoods and our environment.
Replenish also means “to inspire or nourish” and Replenish Richmond intends to inspire and nourish a stronger sense of community in all Richmonders, guiding Richmonders to become more invested and involved in their home, the Community of Richmond. Replenish Richmond intends to connect with what is important in the hearts of Richmonders, tapping into those interests to help everyone participate in building a proud, unified Community of Richmond.
Replenish Richmond embraces the collection of jurisdictions represented by the Richmond Regional Planning District Commission as the Community of Richmond: the City of Richmond, the Counties of Charles City, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent and Powhatan, and the Town of Ashland. When Replenish Richmond refers to Richmonders, we are talking about the 1.2 million people that live in these 9 jurisdictions.
Replenish Richmond intends for all of its efforts to cross over many elements of the Community of Richmond and will strive for every idea and program to connect with the following 6 subsets of Richmond:
